Introducing the Hard Reset Creator Fellowship

Building narrative power from the ground up.

At Hard Reset, we believe the people closest to the realities of work—frontline workers, community storytellers, and emerging creators—belong at the center of conversations about labor, technology, and power. Yet while traditional media fixates on how much money AI will make for CEOs and shareholders, it often ignores how technology actually affects working people—reducing labor to statistics and case studies.

Social media changed that.

Online, people share the everyday stuff that never makes it into policy reports: the weirdness of a night shift, the frustration of a broken system, the joy of a good manager, the exhaustion of two jobs, the humor only coworkers understand. These creators aren’t waiting for permission. They’re claiming space to talk about labor, inequality, and workplace realities with honesty, humor, and depth—on their own terms and in their own voice.

Cue: the Hard Reset Creator Fellowship.

This six-month fellowship is for creators who are already sharing what work feels like and want the skills and exposure to level up. We don’t dictate content or tone. We don’t script talking points. We provide tools, community, expert support, and space for creators to tell the stories they want to tell—authentically, creatively, and unapologetically.

Our goal? To back the creators who clock in every day and tell stories from inside their industries about the future of labor and power.

This fellowship is for:

  • Working people who are already speaking about their workplace, their industry, or issues in their communities, using honesty, humor, and personal perspective.

  • Emerging storytellers with something to say about labor, tech, inequality, or workplace realities who want to grow their audience and widen their reach on both social media (TikTok, Instagram) and in traditional press (newspapers, podcasts).

  • Creators who care more about permanently shifting the culture and changing the narratives that no longer serve working people.

Listen! We know applying to fellowships is intimidating. If this sounds like you, but you don't have the numbers, don't count yourself out! We're here to help folks grow.

Who Is This Fellowship For?

What Makes the Hard Reset Fellowship Different?

We’re flipping the script on who gets to shape the narrative

We believe the people actually living through the impacts of AI, automation, crappy bosses, and shifting workplace norms should be the ones leading the conversation.

ONE

We build long-term power, not clout.

We invest in creators who are reshaping public understanding around work and technology from inside the workplace.

We measure impact through:

  • resonance

  • clarity

  • cultural relevance

  • community building

 —not just view counts.

TWO

We maintain creator autonomy.

Fellows keep full editorial independence and are encouraged to be open about their participation. There are no content quotas or prescribed messages.

What Do We Provide?

The Hard Reset Creator Fellowship gives emerging creators the tools, support, and community they need to level up their voice and strengthen their storytelling. Over six months, fellows dig into the stories they actually want to tell, sharpen their production skills, workshop new ideas, and build a creative practice that fits their real life. By the end, each fellow walks away with a clearer direction, a real path to monetizing their work, and a community that sticks with them long after the program ends.

    • Production and post-production fundamentals

    • Branding, messaging, and narrative framing

    • Algorithm literacy and platform strategies

    • Sponsorship basics and ethical partnerships

    • Press training and media opportunities

    • Legal Q&A with labor and content experts

  • Fellows work directly with journalists, organizers, labor lawyers, digital strategists, and experienced creators.  These aren’t lectures—they’re collaborative, real-world conversations focused on practical challenges and growth.

  • The cohort operates as its own support system. Fellows:

    • Give and receive feedback

    • Troubleshoot obstacles

    • Learn across industries and styles

  • To make creation easier and more sustainable, Hard Reset provides:

    • $1000/month stipend

    • Gear support (lighting, audio, editing software)

    • PR and partnership guidance

    • Ongoing access to templates, resources, and the Hard Reset network
